What can I do after studying International Relations and International Organisation? What are my possibilities? Everyone has encountered such questions at least once during their studies or while choosing IRIO as study program, and there is no simple answer to it: IRIO offers a broad spectrum of future job opportunities. Thanks to the Career Committee, students of IRIO have the chance to take a deeper look into this broad working field and get an idea of the options they have after studying. By organising a Career Day and a company visit, the Career Committee brings students closer to possible employers, careers and former IR students.
The Career Committee will for the first time be organising a Career Day. This will be an opportunity for students to hear about interesting job perspectives from experts themselves. A broad array of workshops will be offered, such as how to improve your CV and how to make most out of your LinkedIn account.
Furthermore, a company visit outside the Netherlands is organised. During this trip we will visit different companies and institutions which are related to our study. Previous company visits include Frankfurt and Strasbourg.
Last but not least, the Committee is also responsible for the Internship database, a database offering several interesting internships for IR students at different institutions and companies. This database is the be found on the Career Platform, where several career-related opportunities are shared with members and others interested.
Career Committee positions: Chair, Secretary, Treasurer/Acquisition, Commissioner Corporate Relations (2x), Location & logistics, Commissioner LinkedIn & Internship Database, PR and Board Representative.
Commissioner Internship Database: You are in charge of the database regarding internships that are available for the IRIO students.
Commissioner Corporate Relations: You are in charge of contacting companies and institutions to be visited during a company visit, for example.
