Chair: Fabian Rosielle

Hi everyone!

My name is Fabian and this year I will be the Chair of the Board of Study Association Clio. As Chair, I represent the association towards members, but also towards the university and teachers, but also other study associations. This means that I have a lot of meetings with different people, making my schedule hectic but super diverse! Additionally, I write the general policy of the association which details what the Board wants to achieve during the upcoming year. This year we want open doors within the Association by enhancing its accessibility and transparency for members. Next to this, we want to professionalise the Association and aim to enhance harmonisation among Clio’s. And last but definitely not least, I will be a part of the Career and Forum Committee as a Board Representative this year!

Although I’ll enjoy a lot of my time this year with my friends in Clio, outside of our beautiful Association I love to go to the city, or enjoy a drink with my friends. Aside from this, I occasionally like to practice sports (run, row, football, who am I kidding ;) , or listen to some music (sorry Nicolas, your reggaeton addiction at nine in the morning is just not for me). I’m most excited for this year, spending time around you guys, and just generally being involved in Clio.
If you have any questions, send me an e-mail at clio.voorzitter@gmail.com !

Hey!

I’m Charlotte and, this year, I am Secretary of the 37th Board of Clio. You might know me better as the face behind the Clio Newsletter that you get every week. I put a lot of effort into the Newsletter so I hope you enjoy it, especially the Meme of the Week, so make sure to read it if you can 🙂 During the day, I spend most of my time answering any emails you might send to info@clio.nl so if you have any questions or concerns don’t be afraid to shoot me an email, I am always happy to help! In addition to this, I am also the Board Representative of the Excursion and Academic Committees.

Outside of Clio, I am usually still spending most of my time with the Board as we are usually spotted around the Attic after hours chatting. I also try to travel as much as I can when there is free time, and occasionally make it home to see all my friends and family in Ireland. After Clio parties, you might occasionally find me enjoying Groningen nightlife, especially in my fave, Negende Cirkel.

I am so excited to be a part of the 37th Board this year and I hope to make it the best year yet!

Treasurer: Owen van den Hoek

Heyhey everyone,

I am Owen and I will be the Treasurer of the Board of Study Association Clio in the coming year. Meaning I am the one in charge of the money of the Association. My daily tasks include making the budgets, going after debtors, and getting the occasional side-eye if I don’t let the other board members buy stupid stuff. I will also be part of this year’s Travel and Support Committee, where my main tasks will be assisting my lovely Chairs and updating the Board on their activities and plans. Besides those two committees, I will also help the treasurers of every committee, making sure every cent is spent as needed.

When I don’t spend my whole day looking at spreadsheets and numbers, I like to pretend I have a healthy life. I try to go to the gym as often as I can, which nowadays is pretty much never, or start my running training already for the Batavierenrace later in the year. I also love to cook, and can spend to whole afternoon preparing dinner and getting compliments in the evening. People who know me also know that I absolutely love to play board games, and at least once a week I try to host a board game night with my friends.

So if you have any money-related questions, or want to play board games with someone ;), you can always reach out to me via email at this address: clio.penningmeester@gmail.com!

Hi everyone,

I’m Nicolas and have the pleasure of being this years Commissioner of PR & Publications of the 37th Board of Clio. I will be working on Clio promotional material and strategies for all events and services that Clio offers, so I will be managing all of Clio's social media platforms as well as helping administer the website. Besides that, I assist all PR functionaries from the 15 committees in fulfilling their tasks and with any struggles. I am also the Board Representative for Clio’s Magazine — Checks & Balances Committee, the Photo & Multimedia Committee and the Yearbook Committee.

In my personal life, I enjoy a quiet cup of tea in the evening when im not out partying with my friends. I also enjoy a bit of reading some games and chilling in the Attic.

I look forward to meeting all of you this year, and if you have any questions, please do contact me on any of the Clio platforms or via email. I’m really excited to focus on all things Clio this year, and have an amazing time with all of its (active) members!

If you would like to get in touch, you can email me at pr.publicaties@gmail.com or reach out via one of our various socials.

Commissioner of External Affairs: Daniel Medema

Hello everyone,

My name is Daniël Medema, and in the upcoming year, I will be the Commissioner of External Affairs for the 37th board of Clio. As the corporate guy of Clio, I’m going to make some big stacks this year. As a board representative, I will be joining the Conference and IRSP committees, and I will also be chairing this year’s Acquisition Group.

You might have seen me towering over others at a Clio event! If you ever want to chat, feel free to come up to me. I should mention that I have a bit of a sweet tooth, so there’s a good chance you’ll catch me with a sugary beverage or some candy. Even though I’m trying to cut back on sugar, it’s proving to be harder than I thought. I do try to stay active and tell myself that I go for a run once in a while.

I enjoy exploring new spots in Groningen, watching a lot of sports, and participating in Clio’s social activities (as well as those outside Clio). I’m really excited for the upcoming year and would love to see you all at our events! :)

If you’d like to get in touch, feel free to email me at clio.bedrijfscontacten@gmail.com.

Hello hello everyone,

My name is Sietse, and I am the Commissioner of Internal Affairs of the Board. I am responsible for the internal functioning of the association, meaning I do a lot with the active members and alumni of Clio. My tasks vary a lot throughout the week, but you can almost always find me in the Attic (:  Besides that, I am also in the ClioWelcome, Event, Master, and Sports Committees.

Besides being in Clio I do also have some hobbies. I like playing some card games with friends or go to ACLO for some tennis or padel. I am also in the dispute Bismarck, where we debate IR related topics every third Thursday of the month.

I am originally from Zuidlaren, a town close to Groningen, so I have been familiar with the city since I have been young. In the weekends I still like to go to my parents sometimes for some free food and to hang out with my friends from there.

I’m always down for a drink or a coffee, so don’t hesitate to come to me if you have any questions or just for a nice chat!  You can also contact me at: clio.intern@gmail.com
