University Bodies


Secretariat

The Secretariat is located on the fifth floor of the Harmony Building. They provide students with general information and you can turn to them with questions and problems regarding your studies.

Cluster Assessor 

The Student Assessor to the Cluster Board is the students' voice on the Cluster level. They bring up issues that are important to the student body and can be contacted by the students with concerns or questions.

Study Advisors 

The study advisor serves as an advisor and confidant of students for all matters related to their study. Visit their website to find out about how and when you can approach them.

Programme Committee

The Programme Committee is one of the boards of the Faculty of Arts. The PC consists of four students and six faculty members. They are responsible for improving the overall quality of the program, workload concerns (too high/too low). And if there are any course guide issues they are the ones to turn to. Please note: individual course issues should be first discussed with the course coordinators and if issues persist or you feel uncomfortable, the PC can step in to address these broader concerns. If you wish to get in contact with the PC, send an email to iriopc.studentdelegation@gmail.com

Facilities

University Student Desk

The University Student Desk (USD) is the walking encyclopaedia of the University of Groningen. You will get a concrete answer to your question or you will be sent to the right person, department or organization.

Student Service Centre

The Student Service Centre (SSC) is the student counselling expertise centre of the University of Groningen.

International Service Desk

The staff of the International Service Desk (ISD) is specialized in Dutch immigration law

Study Abroad

A roadmap for a successful experience abroad. Also check Erasmus Mundus Action 2 Mobility. Finally, go to the Study Abroad Portal on the Clio website which is being regularly updated with the new information and universities.
